Resources

Recycling, repurposing and reusing are good for people and good for the planet. For the very motivated, having a garage sale is a good option. There are also numerous consignment stores in the area where you can make back a little of the money you spent on the clothing and shoes you don’t need anymore. Several of these are listed below and on the map. Be sure to confirm the hours during which they can receive your items.

If a garage sale or consignment aren’t really your cup of tea, consider donating instead. American Cancer Society Discovery Shop, The Salvation Army Family Store, and Goodwill are all good options. They all have their own hours during which they receive donations, so confirm availability before you go.

As a complimentary service to my clients, I take donations to Goodwill. If it fits in my car and won’t tear up the upholstery, I’ll donate it and obtain a tax receipt for you. Goodwill is a massive recycling machine that ensures all usable items are made available at very low prices. They don’t accept metal file cabinets or items that are made to hold the weight of a child.
